The hasty implementation of the VGB act allowed less than reputable products to be installed. Adding the monopolistic distribution of the covers created a vacuum for alternate companies to obtain the rating with minimal testing.
Frankly, the poolmen will be cornered in this situation, as they will be the bridge between recall and the customer.
1. A good record keeping will be essential in such work done.
2. Following the industry news is equally important to stay abreast with changes, recals, modifications.
3. Cost sharing will have to be handled properly, as the most expensive part of the replacement is the labor.
4. The distributors who held exclusive position in distributing the recalled products should have to take the position on connecting the recall with the end customer.
