My Aquatics Experience-in a nutshell is-: My name is Janine. I have been a swim instructor/lifeguard for over fourteen years. I also love children.

I moved to the LA area in August 2003. In 2006, I opened my own swim school in the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas. We specialize in traveling to people’s homes. If you have your own pool, or access to one, we would be more than happy to give you or your child swimming lessons. This year 2010 we are expanding services to Phoenix Arizona and surrounding areas.

I have worked with children and adults of all ages who wish to learn how to swim. I come from a competitive swimming background, as I helped coach the Leavenworth Otters Swim Team where I was born and raised. I was on the team from 1989 – 2002 at ages 5-17 with a total of 23 years of swimming experience.

I have taught at the Leavenworth Otters Swim Team, the private ABC Swim School, and several other individuals’ homes. I have worked with infants to adults, including elderly individuals. I teach private and group lessons for everyone.

My area of expertise (as others see me): Besides having extensive teaching experience, I am also trained in First Aid, CPR, Lifeguarding, Infant/Toddler, and Adaptive Aquatics Certification.
